In this program we will explore the recent NAR lawsuit and discuss likely impacts on the real estate profession. There will be a deep dive into buyer representation agreements and the importance of those agreements. The panel will also discuss the future of the real estate commission structure considering the recent court decision.

Instructors: Cindy Lammert, Esq., Partner, Frantz Ward; Todd Book, Esq., Ohio REALTORS VP of Legal & Legislative Affairs; and Stephen McCoy, Esq., Ohio REALTORS VP of Legal & Regulatory Affairs 

Cindy Lammert’s practice focuses on real estate professional liability representation and defense. She represents residential and commercial real estate brokerages, real estate trade associations, inspectors, appraisers, and title and escrow companies throughout Ohio in real estate and professional liability defense litigation. She also practices extensively before the Ohio Division of Real Estate, Ohio Real Estate Commission, and Ohio Civil Rights Commission. 

Todd Book and Stephen McCoy oversee the operation of the Association’s Legal Assistance Hotline and serve as executive staff liaisons to the Legal Action Committee and Legal Issues Forum. They work closely with the Association's Public Policy Group, analyzing and testifying on legislation. They are frequent continuing education instructors, and author articles on legal topics for real estate brokers and agents.

Credit: This program is being certified for 1.5 hours of CE credit. Per ODRE requirements, you must be present 90% of the program to receive credit. Attendees must join the program with video and stay within view during the program to receive CE, as active participation will be monitored.
